This weeks design challenge was to design a calendar focused element. Is it for scheduling an appointment? A reservation, flight, hotel, or concert calendar? Is it a calendar reminder feature? For email or something else entirely?

This challenge provided a plethora of options and directions to go, as a calendar is a necessary element for many different applications. I took some time thinking about the direction I wanted to go with the calendar. With everything happening this past year, and the way our lifestyles are changing from in person contact to a virtual world, it made sense to create the calendar screen as a useful tool to stay current with online courses , as well as anything else that is on your agenda for the day. In the calendar designed below, the user can add online courses they are interested in and decide whether or not to register. Once they officially sign up, the course goes straight to their personal calendar which will then keep them updated on what they have planned. They can then click on the course on their calendar and will be taken to the course info page if they need more details, or decide to reschedule the course.
